This section describes how to manage problems that occurred
when you upgraded processes. You must resolve all warnings issued
by the Process Upgrade Tool to ensure that upgraded processes continue
to function correctly in LiveCycle ES2.5.
Note:
When you upgrade any process by using the Process
Upgrade Tool, you must also upgrade all dependent (child or parent)
processes of that process.
Reviewing upgrade problems
Use the LiveCycle ES2.5 Process
Upgrade Problems view to see and manage the problem messages that
the Process Upgrade Tool provided during process upgrades. The view
shows summary information about each problem and provides a check
box that you can use to keep track of which problems have been fixed.
Each row in the table represents a problem. The following columns
of information are provided:

Fixed:
-
A check box that you can use to track the status of upgrade
problems that can be fixed manually

Description:
-
A brief message that describes the problem
-
Action:
-
If applicable, the action in the process to which the problem
applies
-
Process Version:
-
The name of the process version that was being upgraded when
the problem was generated
-
Created:
-
The date and time when the problem message was generated
Note:
Upgrade problems are stored on the local hard
drive. Other developers who use instances of Workbench on different
computers cannot see the upgrade problems.
To open the LiveCycle ES2.5 Process Upgrade Problems view:
Click Window > Show View > LiveCycle ES Process Upgrade
Problems.
To see detailed information about a problem:
Double-click
the problem, or right-click the problem and click Properties.
To open the associated upgraded process version:
Right-click the problem and click Go To. The process definition
opens, and the associated action is selected.
To mark a problem as fixed:
Select the check box
in the Fixed column, or right-click the problem and click Mark Fixed.
To delete a problem from the view:
Right-click the
problem and click Delete.
To delete all fixed problems:
Right-click the problem
and click Delete Fixed Problems.
Seeing detailed problem descriptions
Some
upgrade problem messages provide detailed descriptions of the problem. The
detailed description can provide more information about the cause
of the problem. Before you decide how to fix an upgrade problem,
you should first read the detailed description.
The detailed description is located in the Stack Trace box in
the problem’s Properties dialog box.
