About using business calendars

The Review, Commenting, and Approval building block uses the Business Calendar feature fromProcess Management to support review stage deadlines based on business calendar. In the context of the building block, review deadlines are associated with a review stage, which can have multiple participants located in different time zones with varying differences in business times. Because a stage cannot have different deadlines for different participants, the building block performs the following:

Calculates the stage deadline based on business calendars associated with each stage participant.

The calculations for stage start time and takes into account existing participant of stage. When a participant is added to a stage after it has started, the stage deadline is not changed based on that participant's business calendar. However, when the stage duration is updated, the new stage duration is calculation takes into account the business calendar of the new participant.
Calculates the end date for each participant in a stage based on the business calendar associated with each participant. The latest date is set as the stage end date.

Using this approach provides adequate timeframes for each participant to complete stage tasks in accordance to their business calendar.
