Customizing auditing for the building block

You can modify the audit configuration file to customize auditing for the Review, Commenting, and Approval building block.

You can add and remove audit actions from existing audit levels. You can also add new audit levels or remove existing audit levels.

To customize auditing, you modify the audit configuration file. The audit configuration file, AuditConfig.xml is available in the ReviewCommentingAndApproval application at ReviewCommentingAndApproval/resources/misc/audit. To modify the AuditConfig.xml, you retrieve the ReviewCommentingAndApproval application and redeploy the change in Workbench.

The default auditing provided defines the following audit levels:

Level 1
Logs only actions that occur during review stages. The following audit actions are logged:
  • STAGE_START

  • STAGE_COMPLETE

  • REVIEW_STAGE_COMPLETE

  • REVISE_REVIEW

  • REVOKE _REVIEW

Level 2

Note: The PURGE_REVIEW audit action is always logged because it is a critical action.
