About review tracking sheets and approval routing slipsThe review tracking sheet (RTS) and the approval routing slip (ARS) are optional documents in a review, commenting, and approval process. The purpose of these documents is to capture attestation of reviewers and approvers after the completion of each stage of the review. These documents also capture the final comments of current reviewers and approvers that future reviewers and approvers can consider in subsequent stages. Some review processes require a review tracking sheet, where every reviewer attestation is recorded. Other review processes do not have such a requirement. If a review includes an approval stage, the approval routing slip is required. The approval routing slip captures the attestations from the approvers. The attestation can be applied in different ways. Some review and approval attestations require that PKI signatures be explicitly affixed on the approval routing slip. In other cases, a simple user interface action to click an Approve button is sufficient. |
