Modifying processes that use multiple input form variables

In LiveCycle 7.x, when an init-form was used to initiate a workflow, any input form variables in the process that corresponded with the init-form were populated with the input from the form. However, in LiveCycle ES, only a single input form in a process was supported.

To ensure that the workflow functions correctly after upgrading from LiveCycle 7.x to LiveCycle ES, you must modify it so that it contains only one input variable.

After performing all the steps to upgrade the process, do these tasks:

• For each variable that you do not intend to use as the input variable, modify the variable definition so that input is not selected as a general property. (See Editing variables .)

• Create XPath expressions to copy the data from the remaining input variable to the other variables (those that were previously set as input). (See Retrieving form field values , Changing values in form data , and Using form data with multiple forms .)
